Most people think picnics as a spring or summer activity, but a well planned picnic can be just as equally fun! A few tips if you decide to brave the cold:
- Dress warmly.
- Prepare food ahead of time. Pack warm food and wrap in foil wrap or thermal containers designed to keep in the heat. Some ideas – casseroles, sandwiches or a special soup, or for more suggestions this site has some great ideas. The campfire burritos sound yummy!
- Apply sunscreen.
- Plan a fun activity. Build a snowman, sledding, ice skating or make snow angels.
